Leigh Harrison Bio
Leigh Harrison is a visual artist, educator, and curator based in Richardson, Texas. With a professional foundation in graphic design and visual communications, her mixed-media work draws from diverse materials to investigate the structural systems, psychological loops, and shared connections found in everyday life.
Harrison holds an Associate of Applied Arts from The Art Institute of Dallas, a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science from Midwestern State University, and she will complete her Master of Art Education at Texas Tech University in December 2026. As an accomplished art educator, she currently teaches high school art and AP Art History within the Richardson Independent School District, and has previously taught at Duncanville ISD and instructed adult students at The Encaustic Center. Her commitment to the arts community extends to her leadership work as a former curator, educator, and director at Umbrella Gallery in Deep Ellum, alongside her active involvement as a presenter and juror for the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA).
Her work has been shared through exhibitions and community engagements, highlighted by her solo exhibition, The Waiting Room.
